Today as I was leaving work I informed my Boss that the new season of Dr. Who started airing last week and then the (only?) guy in the office was like WHERE HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN? because he likes Dr. Who too! I was like WTFFFF and then House came up and I slipped in a Holmes reference and he was like OH WELL I HAVE THE WHOLE GRANADA SERIES and I'm like "................" and then he was talking about the dubbing in My Fair Lady and... man.

That was WEIRD. Not completely uncool but WEIRD. At least I have cool bosses!

But obviously I'm meant to be like 50 or something by now. D:

Anyway, time to go find some articles and things for that hideous paper.

EDIT: and maybe that's why I keep crushing on old dudes.

Except David Tennant. He's not old. My boss said he was cute though and I laughed (on the inside).

Sensei: *fishing for people to ask questions to* "Who here has a boyfriend or girlfriend?"
*ADD Kid raises his hand*
Sensei: "Tomasu-san?!"
ADD Kid: "What?"
Sensei: "I thought you said you broke up!"
ADD Kid: "Well... that was before... you know what nevermind!"
Sensei: "Ok so who has current girlfriend or boyfriend? And not imaginary"
ADD Kid: "......"
Class: "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE."

This was after he and his friend asked "How do you say 'get shitfaced'?" so he was asking for it.


I should make some new clips of these shows sometime soon. There's been some brilliant bits and I haven't posted any in a while. Hmmm.

I've been meaning to buy something I want but don't need ever since i got some money for my birthday but I can't seem to pick what. I knowwww there's a ton of stuff I want but now that I can actually get some of it I'm like... blanking out. Woe. Maybe I'll get another Jeremy Brett DVD set thing. But then I have to pick between Memoirs, Casebook, or the Feature Film Collection, which DOES have the Master Blackmailer on it which I've been wanting to see pretty badly. There's also the Oscar Wilde Collection which has him in The Picture of Dorian Gray. Unf. I DON'T KNOOWWWWW. There's also "Bending the Willow" about the Granada series as a whole which sounds super interesting, but then again super sad cuz poor Jeremy Brett ;_;

I'm not good at buying stuff for fun!

Does anyone know the proper way to write Sherlock Holmes in katakana? If there even is a proper way, that is.

The way I've been doing it to entertain myself on Japanese homework is "shaarokku homuzu" - シャーロックホムズ - but he insists that that's wrong and that it should be sherokku hoomuzu instead - シェロックホームズ - or possibly even with a ru in there to make hoorumuzu - ホールムズ - though I think that sounds ghastly. You don't say the L in Holmes, for heaven's sake, you don't need it :P

Soooo... is there anyone out there who can settle this?
