I forgot to take my movie back to hastings. Late fees. Boooooo.

Obligatory hive update: giant butt/thigh hive is turning odd bruisy shades of purple in spots but seems overall less swollen. No idea what this means. I want to know what doctors know without having to BE a doctor. When my body is doing something deranged I want to know WHY and WHAT EXACTLY is going on. I guess that explains the bio major. I need/want to take Human Physiology and Immunology.

I went to advising today. Got advised by my Ecology teacher who I secretly resent. But it was pretty painless. Still have to do a mentor meeting, BUT I got a set of office hours for the guy next week so I should be able to take care of it Tuesday morning and be able to register on Thursday PAIN FREE. I still don't want to go because I know he's going to say the same things he said the last two times: get good grades, get into crimson scholars (because he won't remember me and the fact that I already am one) try for internships or other jobs in the department BLAH BLAH BLAH I knowwwwwwww. Whatever. Signature. need signature. Am considering taking harder biochemistry series. What the hell is WRONG with me? I don't like chemistry! I think I must like PAIN. That must be it. PAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIN.

I am further confirmed as a prematurely old person. I was talking with my boss about sherlock holmes and jeeves and wooster and other old people things and I mentioned something about not being able to get any of my friends interested in it and being a big nerd. He said that it's actually an advantage to have alot of things to be able to talk about and said alot of younger faculty have trouble carrying conversation with other more veteran (old) faculty. So I've got an advantage there. BUT! it comes at the cost of not being able to carry conversation with other people my age. Errr. He also says about everything I'm into is what he was into at my age. OLD OLD OLD. Sigh. I mentioned Army of Darkness somehow, I don't remember how it came up, but he hadn't seen it, so I guess that at least brings me a little closer to my own generation! Boomstick.

I watched the first two episodes of Monk and I can't say I'm hooked. It's entertaining but ... it's sort of like they snatched up Sherlock Holmes, stole all his charisma, and replaced it all with OCD. This is also another DVD loan from aforementioned boss. Which is still sorta weird. I suppose it's to my advantage cuz I can sit there and chat about old nerd things instead of doing work but... still weird.

I have GOT TO GOT TO GOT TO put some work in on my Art & Mythology paper or I will be SCREWED. I have like 2 weeks to write.... 15-20 pages. Aaaahh haha ha haha.... durrrrrrrrrr. I remember in high school when I thought 10 pages was ridiculously unfairly long. Ha. haha. Oh the good ol' days.

I also have to give a presentation on the same subject for that class. i keep forgetting about that bit. Though writing the paper is the much harder part. ramble. rambleramble. I want indian food.

Wanna know something sad? I'm a junior and I've taken 2 honors classes here, but the longest paper I've had to write in my life was the one for Shearer's class.
